DEMOCRATS CAN WIN BACK THE WHITE HOUSE

on November 3, 2020, but to do so, we need a smart, talented and passionate team that reflects the nation’s amazing diversity to organize in every community

ORGANIZING CORPS 2020 IS GIVING YOUNG PEOPLE THE SKILLS NEEDED TO WORK ON THE 2020 GENERAL ELECTION STARTING THIS SUMMER

The 2018 midterm elections were a valuable reminder of what’s possible when people show up to the polls. But even with incredibly strong candidates and unprecedented volunteer enthusiasm, races were won or lost on incredibly thin margins. To take back the White House in 2020, Democrats will need to run a strong ground game that leverages the upswell in volunteer enthusiasm and voter engagement. To do that, we need to be prepared for the general election with a cadre of well-trained, local, and diverse organizers ready to be activated in states as soon we have a nominee.

Organizing Corps 2020 is recruiting and training 1,000 young people in key battleground states — Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Florida, Arizona, North Carolina, and Georgia — to work on the 2020 presidential campaign, starting this summer. Organizing Corps 2020 is paying its corps members for their training, ensuring that the eventual Democratic nominee has access to the best talent — local and diverse field organizers that have ties to their communities, have been trained on the fundamentals of organizing, and have experience in field, digital organizing, and data analytics.

MEET OUR SUMMER CORPS

“I joined Organizing Corps because I want to help elect people to office that have more of my ideals and to feel more represented in the White House.”

ALONDRA, Tampa, FL
University of Tampa

I’m excited to join Organizing Corps because I believe that America belongs to those who get involved. America didn’t just decide to pass historic civil rights legislation on a whim. Someone had to get involved and fight for an America that would act on the belief that we are all created equal.

ELIJAH, Charlotte, NC
Oral Roberts University

I joined Organizing Corps because growing up low-income I have witnessed first hand the failure of our state, country, and elected officials to take care of our citizens. I organize to ensure that every voice is heard in our democratic process, and that no person is left behind due to their identity.

HANNAH, Detroit, MI
Eastern Michigan University

I joined Organizing Corps 2020 to amplify the interests of the poor in my community and empower the huge population of college students that inhabit Orlando, who are also a critical mass of the working of the working-class.

ANTHONY, Orlando, FL
University of Central Florida

TWEETS AND MENTIONS

“A great opportunity for young people in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin: Gain in-the-field organizing experience this summer for 2020 and beyond with Organizing Corps.”

Secretary Hillary Clinton

My first campaign job opened the door to countless new opportunities. I am proud to see our party investing in the power of young people through @orgcorps2020.
This is exactly the type of program that will help @TheDemocrats win in 2020.
